MY STORY

Artist Background

Art, what can I say? I started drawing at a young age because as a little girl, I loved horses. Therefore, I started drawing them, of course! My mother was an excellent artist and I looked to her for inspiration and technique. I studied art at the University level as well.  Over the years my art has evolved. Mainly due to what I have been commissioned to create.   
Founded in 1980, Art by J M Tanner is a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. I offer original pieces of art in various mediums as well as commissioned artwork.
Additionally, I believe everyone has an artist inside them and I want to help you find your artistic voice. At various times of the year, I schedule art classes and private lessons. Please get in touch today to learn more about what I can do for you.
